PORTLAND, Ore. - Azusa Pacific is ranked eighth in this week's NCAA Division II Super Regional III poll.

Following this Saturday's games the NCAA will select the six teams from the region that will advance to the 24-team championships. The qualifiers will be announced Sunday at 2 p.m. Pacific in a web cast on ncaa.com.

APU (9-1), which was ranked sixth last week, will need to move up at least two positions to earn one of the berths.

The Cougars, who have won eight straight, conclude their regular-season schedule this Saturday hosting NAIA Menlo.

There are two games this week that match Top 10 teams from Super Region III.

Second-ranked Ouachita Baptist (9-0) plays at No. 9 Henderson State (8-1) and No. 4 Pittsburg State (9-1) visits No. 10 Central Oklahoma (8-2).

Three teams are still unbeaten - top-ranked Minnesota State Mankato (10-0), Ouachita Baptist, Ark., and third-ranked Minnesota Duluth (10-0).

In this week's AFCA national poll, Azusa Pacific is ranked 22nd.  Humboldt State dropped out of both the regional and national poll this week after losing 33-31 to Western Oregon last Saturday.
