Whitney Mickelsen of Montana State Billings finished 12th in the University of Montana Invitational cross country meet Friday at Missoula.

Mickelsen, who ran the 5,000-meter women's course in a time of 18:44, was the only runner in the Top 20 that wasn't either from a Division I school or was competing unattached.

In the men's race, Daniel Lombardi led the Yellowjackets finishing 31st in a 8,000-meter time of 26:50. MSUB's women placed fifth and its men finished sixth in the team races.
