The Seattle Pacific men's soccer team dropped its first home match in 19 games at Interbay as the visiting Golden Eagles scored the game winner one minute into overtime to end the Falcons season.
The Falcons scored on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to beat Northwest Nazarene 2-1 in the NCAA West Region semifinals Saturday night at Interbay Stadium in Seattle.
The two are the only seniors among the 24 players on the Falcons' squad and are making their fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA West Regional tournament.
Northwest Nazarene scored midway through the first half and held back an aggressive Simon Fraser attack to advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament where it will face No. 1 seed Seattle Pacific.
Three GNAC teams were selected in the same portion of the bracket Monday for the NCAA tournament meaning the regional championship match will be guaranteed a GNAC member.
