NCAA DII and Make-A-Wish: Partners Since 2003

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Continuing its longstanding commitment to philanthropy, in 2003 the NCAA Division II established a national alliance with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a global charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

In the spirit of service, NCAA Division II student-athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, fans, friends and communities across the country are working hard to make a difference in the lives of Make-A-Wish families through their fundraising efforts. Since the inception of the partnership, the NCAA Division II has raised more than $2 million in support of the Make-A-Wish mission. All are working toward the same cause – to grant the most heartfelt wish of every eligible child in the United States.

During the 2011-12 academic year, student-athletes across the GNAC staged a variety of special events – including raffles, shooting contests, and a fashion show – to raise money for their local Make-A-Wish chapters.
