Why did you choose to attend NNU?: I attended Northwest Nazarene to play golf and to further my academics.

What is the favorite class you have taken in college and why?: My favorite class I've taken in college is comparative politics. The class has stretched my mind and made me think outside the box, in regard to the study and of other countries, citizens, as well as the similarities and differences of political units.
 
How many years were you involved in SAAC?: Two years.
 
What made you want to be involved in SAAC?: I wanted to be a part of SAAC because I want to be part of something bigger than myself.
 
What is your most memorable SAAC activity to date so far?: My most memorable activity from SAAC would be helping out at the Make-A-Wish Foundation basketball game.
 
How do you feel participating in SAAC will help you in life after you graduate?: Being a part of SAAC will help me build teamwork skills that I will take into my professional job.
 
What is the most important thing you've learned from balancing the demands of athletics and academics?: Time management is one of the most important skills to have as a student-athlete.
 
What is the biggest obstacle you have overcome during your collegiate career?: The biggest obstacle that I've faced would have to be recovering from sickness and not being able to play golf.
 
Who is your mentor?: My father, Steve Vancil.

What are your future goals after graduation?: After graduation, I would like to become a certified translator.

What is the best advice you would give to an incoming freshman?: Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way.

What is your favorite sports-related moment?: My favorite sports-related moment has been being able to build long-lasting bonds on the Nighthawks golf team.

If I could spend the day with one person (past or present), who would it be (and why)?: I would spend the day with my grandpa because I never had the opportunity to get to know him and I would have loved to have that chance.
 
Favorite Sports Team: Portland Trail Blazers.
 
Favorite Athlete: CJ McCollum.
 
What is one thing that people don't know about you?: I speak fluent Spanish.
