PORTLAND, Ore. – Laura Dahlby Nicolai, the associate director of athletics for compliance and student-athlete services at Central Washington University, has been selected to serve a four-year term on the NCAA Division II Volleyball Committee.

“I am honored to represent Central Washington University and participate as a member of the NCAA Division II Volleyball Committee,” Dahlby Nicolai said. “I look forward to working with the NCAA staff and committee members in serving our student-athletes and the sport over the next four years.”

The Division II Volleyball Committee governs the sport and is responsible for administering the Division II Volleyball Championships. The committee establishes the brackets for the championships and selects the teams participating. Members of the committee also chair the sport’s regional advisory committees, which rank and select teams for regional competition. The committee is comprised of eight members, which includes four administrators.

Prior to her selection to the Division II Volleyball Committee, Dahlby Nicolai spent one season as a member of the Division II West Region Women’s Soccer Regional Advisory Committee.

Before joining the Central Washington staff, Dahlby Nicolai served in the compliance and marketing offices at Seattle University. Prior to entering college athletics, she was a managing partner of RPS Group.

Dahlby Nicolai received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands, where she was a three-time all-conference diver. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Washington, where she was part of the Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership Program.
