PORTLAND, Ore. – A total of 42 student-athletes have been named to the 2014 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference volleyball team.

Leading the academic team with a perfect 4.00 GPA is Alaska Anchorage junior Sarah Johnson.  Johnson is a nursing major at UAA. 

Saint Martin’s junior Carrie Starbuck has a 3.98 GPA.  She majors in business.

Twenty-four of the student-athletes are repeat selections from a year ago including ninewho were selected to the team for the third time. 

Those include Lauren Herseth, Julie Hulbert and Kaely Kight of Central Washington; Rebecca TenHaken of Northwest Nazarene; Kristyn Ross of Saint Martin’s; Madeleine Hait and Kelsey Robinson of Simon Fraser, and Kayla Erickson and Kelsey Moore of Western Washington.
