PORTLAND, Ore. – The latest episode of GNAC Insider, the official podcast of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, featured Montana State Billings men’s basketball senior Zharon Richmond and was released on Friday.

A rare seventh-year senior for the Yellowjackets, Richmond opens up about his long journey through playing college basketball for his hometown team. The Billings native has endured injury, the pandemic and mental health challenges, and has returned to the court stronger than ever for the 2023-24 season. With four games left on their regular-season schedule, the Yellowjackets sit in first place in the GNAC standings at 18-6 overall and 12-2 in conference play. MSUB became the first men’s basketball team to lock up its spot in the upcoming 2023-24 GNAC Men’s Basketball Championships.

GNAC Insider is an on-demand podcast that airs periodically throughout the 2023-24 academic year and is hosted by GNAC digital media and marketing assistant Gabbie Ewing. New episodes are released on Fridays, with the podcast aimed at delving into the lives of student-athletes, coaches and administrators both on and off the playing fields.
