THIS WEEK'S GNAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE
Chloe Gellhaus, Seattle Pacific

Gellhaus posted the Falcons’ first multi-goal performance of the season, notching a pair of second-half goals and the game-winner in Thursday’s 3-1 win over Saint Martin’s.

Burks anchored a Western Washington defense that allowed just six total shots to opponents last week. The Vikings allowed three shots in a 6-0 shutout of Saint Martin’s on Tuesday and three shots in a 2-1 win over Simon Fraser on Saturday. She also dished out an assist on Saturday.

AROUND THE GNAC
CENTRAL WASHINGTON
• Central Washington split its matches last week. The Wildcats came from behind to beat Simon Fraser, 3-2, on Thursday before losing a tough 1-0 overtime match to Seattle Pacific on Saturday.

• Down 2-0 early in the first half, Central Washington scored three unanswered goals to win. Molly Edvalds and Paige Devine scored the Wildcats’ first two goals.

Teanna Lathum scored the game-winning goal in the 65th minute to lift the Wildcats over the Clan, 3-2.

• Goalkeeper Emily Thomson made five saves in the 3-2 over the Clan then made another six saves in the overtime loss to Seattle Pacific.

• Central Washington is now 5-5-1 (3-2-1 GNAC) on the season and holds onto the fourth-place spot in the conference standings. Up next, the Wildcats will hit the road to play at Northwest Nazarene on Thursday and Western Washington on Saturday.

CONCORDIA
• Concordia won both of its matches last week. The Cavaliers picked up a 1-0 overtime victory at Northwest Nazarene on Thursday then topped Montana State Billings, 2-1, at home on Saturday.

• An own goal by the Nighthawks won the match for the Cavs in the 1-0 overtime win.

Kyra Radcliffe opened the scoring against Montana State Billings with a goal in the 48th minute. She is tied for second in the GNAC with six goals while also ranking tied for fifth with 12 points.

Madison Grande scored the second goal for the Cavs. It was the freshman’s first collegiate goal.

• The Cavs put up 24 shots and 11 shots on goal against the Nighthawks then followed with 16 shots and six shots on goal against the Yellowjackets.

• Goalkeeper Hailey Asato made five saves on six shots on goal in the two matches.

• Concordia is now 4-7-1 (2-3-1 GNAC) on the season. Up next, the Cavs will host in-state foe Western Oregon on Thursday before heading to Burnaby, B.C. to play at Simon Fraser on Saturday.

MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
• Montana State Billings dropped both of its matches on its Oregon road trip last week with a 3-1 loss at Western Oregon on Thursday and a 2-1 loss at Concordia on Saturday.

Kiley Sandow scored the only goal for the Yellowjackets in the 3-1 loss in Monmouth.

Amanda Hemmen scored her first goal of the season in the 84th minute of the 2-1 loss at Concordia.

• Goalkeeper Erinn Harder made five saves in the two matches. She has 30 total saves on the season.

• Montana State Billings is now 4-6-2 (3-4-0 GNAC) on the season and sits in fifth place with nine points, just one point behind Central Washington. Up next, the Yellowjackets will return home to host Saint Martin’s on Thursday and Seattle Pacific on Saturday.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE
• Northwest Nazarene dropped a tough 1-0 overtime match to Concordia at home on Thursday then tied with Western Oregon, 0-0, on Saturday in Monmouth.

• An own goal by the Nighthawks in overtime resulted in the 1-0 loss to the Cavaliers.

• The Nighthawks put up 18 shots and five shots on goal in the two matches but were unable to find the net.

• Goalkeeper Alexis Montoya made 11 saves against the Cavs then made another five saves against the Wolves. She is tied for first in the GNAC and ranks 34th in Division II with 73 saves.

Rikki Myers still leads the conference with eight goals, 0.67 goals per match and 17 points.

• Northwest Nazarene is now 5-6-2 (2-3-2 GNAC) on the season. Up next, the Nighthawks will look to get back in the win column as they host Central Washington on Thursday.

SAINT MARTIN'S
• Saint Martin’s lost both of its road matches last week, losing 6-0 at Western Washington on Tuesday then dropping match two, 3-1, at Seattle Pacific on Thursday.

Maddison Maffeo notched the only goal of the week for the Saints, scoring in the 61st minute of the 3-1 loss at Seattle Pacific.

• Goalkeeper Ali Campigotto made 11 saves against the Vikings while Sophie Mendoza made seven saves against the Falcons. Campigotto ranks third in the GNAC with 42 saves.

• Saint Martin’s is now 2-9-2 (0-6-0 GNAC) on the season. Up next, the Saints will play at Montana State Billings on Thursday before coming home to host Western Oregon on Saturday.

SEATTLE PACIFIC
• Seattle Pacific took care of business last week to keep up in the GNAC standings. The Falcons won 3-1 over Saint Martin’s at home on Thursday then won a thrilling 1-0 overtime match at Central Washington on Saturday.

• Seattle Pacific put up 19 shots and 10 shots on goal while limiting the Saints to just three total shots in the 3-1 victory. The Falcons followed that with 22 shots and seven shots on goal and didn’t allow the Wildcats a single shot on goal in Saturday’s overtime win.

Taylor Menkens opened the scoring in the 3-1 win over Saint Martin’s, scoring in the 52nd minute of the match.

Chloe Gellhaus was named the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week after she posted the Falcons’ first multi-goal performance of the season, notching a pair of second-half goals and the game-winner in Thursday’s 3-1 win over the Saints. Gellhaus tallied six shots and three shots on goal in the match.

Megan Moore notched the golden goal for Seattle Pacific in their 1-0 overtime win at Central Washington. Moore didn’t waste much time, scoring in the 92nd minute to lift the Falcons.

• Seattle Pacific is now 8-5-0 (6-1-0 GNAC) on the season and sits in second place with 18 points. Up next, the Falcons will face their first true test of the season as they head to Bellingham to play first-place and No. 10 Western Washington on Thursday. After that, the Falcons will stay on the road and play at Montana State Billings on Saturday.

SIMON FRASER
• Simon Fraser dropped both of its road matches last week, losing 3-2 at Central Washington on Thursday then losing 2-1 at Western Washington on Saturday.

• Simon Fraser went up 2-0 early in the first half at Central Washington, but the Wildcats scored three unanswered goals to come from behind.

• Jenieva Musico scored the first goal for the Clan in the 3-2 loss in Ellensburg off of an assist from Kiara Buono. Buono scored the second goal off of an assist from Musico. Buono also scored the only goal for the Clan in its 2-1 loss in Bellingham.

• Goalkeeper Nicole Anderson picked up 10 saves in the two matches. She is tied for first in the GNAC and ranks 34th in Division II with 73 saves.

• Simon Fraser is now 1-9-1 (1-6-0 GNAC) on the season. Up next, the Clan will stay home to host Concordia on Saturday.

WESTERN OREGON
• Western Oregon beat Montana State Billings, 3-1, at home on Thursday then tied with Northwest Nazarene, 0-0, on Saturday.

Selene Konyn scored the opening goal in the 3-1 win over the Yellowjackets. She was followed by goals by Nikki Hoey and Kaili Brundage in the second half.

Alyssa Tomasini dished out assists on the second and third goals in the win over the Yellowjackets. She is second in the GNAC with six assists and 16 points and also ranks fourth with five goals.

• The Western Oregon defense limited the Nighthawks to just four shots and one shot on goal in the scoreless draw.

• Western Oregon is now 6-4-3 (3-2-2 GNAC) on the season and sits in third place in the conference standings with 11 points. Up next, the Wolves will hit the road to play at Concordia on Thursday and Saint Martin’s on Saturday.

WESTERN WASHINGTON
• Western Washington won both of its home matches last week with a 6-0 rout of Saint Martin’s on Tuesday and a 2-1 victory over Simon Fraser on Saturday.

• The Vikings put up an astounding 38 shots and 17 shots on goal against the Saints then tallied another 24 shots and six shots on goal against the Clan.

• Five separate Vikings scored goals in the 6-0 shutout of the Saints. Jordyn Bartelson opened the scoring with a goal in the 32nd minute. Four insurance goals were scored by Estera Levinte, Alice Hiebert, Grace Eversaul and Zoe Milburn. The sixth goal for the Vikings was an own goal by the Saints.

• Eversaul scored her second goal of the week against the Clan and Peyton Chick scored the game-winner in the 71st minute.

Makenzie Burks was named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Week after she anchored a Western Washington defense that allowed just six total shots in the two wins.

• Western Washington continues to have the top-scoring offense in the GNAC  with 2.92 goals per game. The Vikings rank 14th in Division II with 38 goals while also ranking 12th with 31 assists.

• The Vikings moved up to No. 10 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll.

• Western Washington is now 11-2-0 and remains undefeated in GNAC play (7-0-0) to top the conference standings. Up next, the Vikings will host second-place Seattle Pacific on Thursday before playing at Central Washington on Saturday.
