GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Simon Fraser University sophomore Chris Crisologo, currently ranked No. 20 in NCAA Division II with two tournament victories this season, has been named by British Columbia Golf to the Morse Cup team for the 50th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship being held at the Seattle, Washington's Seattle Golf Club from July 26-29.
 
The Morse Cup Team Competition has been held as part of the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship since 1967. The last team from British Columbia to claim the title was in 2013 when the event was hosted by Capilano Golf & Country Club.
 
Representing B.C. will be the reigning British Columbia Men's Amateur Champion, Jared du Toit of Kimberley, along with Vancouver's Stuart MacDonald, who finished 2nd to du Toit in the Amateur, and SFU's Chris Crisologo from Richmond. This announcement comes right on the heels of Crisologo's medallist performance for the Clan in the Mustang Intercollegiate in Arizona last week.
 
The team Championship, consisting of PCGA member association teams, will be conducted over the first 36 holes. The two low scores of three each day will be totaled to determine the winning association team of the Morse Cup competition and Trophy. In the event of a tie, co-champions will be declared.
 
Redesigned in 1996 by Arnold Palmer, Seattle Golf Club hosted the 1952 United States Amateur, the 1961 Walker Cup, the 1981 United States Senior Championship, the 2010 Pac-10 Conference Championship, and now gets set to host the 2016 Pacific Coast Amateur Championship.
 
The individual championship is be conducted over 72 holes with no cut. In the event of a tie, the individual champion will be determined by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately after the conclusion of play.
