NAMPA, Idaho - Seattle Pacific, which won the GNAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship nine straight years between 2004 and 2012, claimed its 10th team title Saturday outpointing two-time defending champion Alaska Anchorage 146-134 in the 12th annual meet at Jacksons Track.

The Falcons got a win from Jahzelle Ambus in the 400 (56.18) and from its 4x400 relay team in a time of 3:50.68, which was just two seconds off the meet record. Those went along with a victory Friday from Anna Patti  in the 5,000 meters helping return SPU to the throne after a two-year absence.

Patti, who had a time of 17:14.01, was one of four Falcons to earn all-conference honors in multiple events by placing in the Top 3.  She provided some key points in the 3,000, the next to last event on the schedule, by placing third in a time of 10:00.19.

Also posting two all-conference performances were Ambus, who added a third place finish in the 200 (24.91) to go along with her winning time of 56.18 in the 400, Becca Houk, who placed second in both the 60 and 200 in times of 7.66 and 24.89 to earn 16 points for her team and Mailea Luquin who finished third in both the pentathlon (3372) and 60 hurdles (8.95) to account for 12 team points in those two events.

It took two GNAC all-time record efforts by Alaska Anchorage's Jamie Ashcroft to relegate Houk to second as Ashcroft won the 60 in a time of 7.65 after running a GNAC record 7.60 in the prelims.  Ashcroft also followed up on her GNAC record time of 24.43 in Friday's 200 prelims to win the main event with an even better time of 24.25.

Ashcroft was one of four women to claim two titles in the meet and was the only one of the four not to share the GNAC Outstanding Performer award.

Her teammate Karolin Anders, who also won that award last year, scored 33 points to share it with Becki Duhamel of Central Washington and Lindsey Butterworth of Simon Fraser.

Anders finished first in the heptathlon with a meet-record score of 3,640 and also won the long jump sailing 18-6 1/2.   She also finished second in the triple jump (37-10 3/4) and finished in a three-way tie for third in the high jump (5-4 1/2). In the pentathlon, her high jump mark tied the meet record of 5-6 1/2 set last year by Tayler Fettig and equaled again this year by Fettig.

CWU's Becki Duhamel won her third and fourth career titles sweeping the weight throw and shot put for the second time in three years, separated by a redshirt season.  After winning the weight throw on Friday with a meet-record fling of 57-10 1/4, she also repeated Saturday winning the shot with a put of 44-8.

Division II's best middle distance runner displayed her talents once again sweeping the 800 and mile.  SFU's Butterworth is the nation's leader in both events and won both in times of 2:10.04 and 4:55.34.  She is a three-time winner in the mile also finishing first in 2012 and 2013 before taking the year off from collegiate competition.

The Clan, which finished third wih 104 points, also got valuable points from Rebecca Bassett, who placed second in the 3,000 (9:52.78) and third in the mile (5:01.83).

Bassett was part of a 1-2 sweep by SFU in the 3K as Jennifer Johnson won the event with a meet record time of 9:47.64.

Another record-setter in the meet, who also contributed to UAA's strong second-place finish was Rosie Smith, who set a mult-event mark in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.82.  Smith earned two all-conference awards placing second in both the pentathlon (3453) and 60 hurdles (8.83).

Northwest Nazarene also had a multiple all-conference performaner as Taylor VanValey finished third in both the shot put (43-3 3/4) and weight throw (51-7).
