GNAC MILESTONE TRACKER

Brandon Watson (SFU) - Watson recorded his 23rd and 24th career shutouts this week, tying Zach Johnson of Seattle Pacific, who played from 2009-12, for third most shutouts in conference history. Watson is now just five shutouts away from the all-time conference record, but one of the players who holds a share of the record is also in his senior season.

Cody Lang (SPU) - Lang put his date with history on hold after allowing four goals in the first week. The senior goalkeeper holds a share of the conference record for shutouts. With his next shutout, he will become the first player in GNAC history to record 30. Thursday’s home opener against Colorado Christian would be the ideal time for Lang to make history. He currently has a 510:58 scoreless streak when defending his home field.

Adam Jones (SFU) - Jones finished his freshman season hot and picked up right where he left off, scoring a goal in the season opener. That goal gave the sophomore midfielder five consecutive games with a point. It was also his sixth consecutive road game with a point recorded. Those streaks both came to an end in the win against Cal Poly Pomona. In his career, he has scored a point in six of eight total away games.

Kyle Witzel (SMU) - The junior midfielder scored a goal and assist in the Saints two games in the first week of the season. He has now recorded a point in five of the last six games. He is now tied for second most career points among active players with 29.

Ryan Foo (NNU) - Foo recorded 15 saves this week to reach 155 career saves, which ranks 16th in conference history and second among active players. He also boosted his save percentage to .759, which now ranks 10th in conference history. However, the senior was under constant attack and allowed four goals in two games, raising his goals against average to 1.18, which also ranks 10th in GNAC history.

Simon Fraser - The Clan won both of its games in the opening week against CCAA games, scoring a total of five goals. The Clan has now won all of its last eight games, scored a goal in all of its last nine games and scored multiple goals in each of the last six games. The Clan’s streaks will be tested against Notre Dame de Namur at Western Washington before the team heads to Hawaii for a pair of games on the islands. After that, the Clan will finally return to Canada, where a 12-match home unbeaten streak is waiting for it.

Seattle Pacific - The Falcons have won or tied 26 consecutive home matches in the regular season. On Thursday, SPU will play its home opener at Interbay Stadium against Colorado Christian, looking to secure its first win of the season and extend its unbeaten streak to 27.
