PORTLAND, Ore. – Montana State University Billings will host the 2015 Great Northwest Athletic Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, GNAC Commissioner Dave Haglund has announced.
The tournaments move to MSUB’s Alterowitz Gymnasium after a three-year run at Saint Martin’s University.
The women’s championship begins Wednesday, March 4 with two first-round contests matching the No. 3 and No. 6 seeds and the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds. The men’s two first-round games will be played Thursday, March 5.
Semifinals for both tournaments will be played on Friday, March 6 with the two championships games set for Saturday, March 7.
Sites for the remainder of the GNAC 2014-15 championship events have also been announced.
Western Oregon University will host the GNAC Cross Country Championships Nov. 1 at the Ash Creek Preserve Cross Country Course on the WOU campus.
WOU will also host the GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 8-9 at McArthur Field.
Saint Martin’s University will hosts the GNAC Outdoor Multi-Event Championships Apr. 27-28 in Lacey, Wash.
The GNAC Baseball Championships will be hosted by the regular-season champion May 7-8.
The remainder of the championships will be held at neutral sites.
The GNAC Women’s Soccer Championships will be played Nov. 6-8 at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Wash.
The GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships return to Nampa, Idaho, in February for the 12th year in a row. The date is yet to be determined.
The GNAC Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships will be played April 20-21 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
The GNAC Softball Championships will be played April 30-May 2 at the Columbia Playoff in Richland, Wash.
