PORTLAND, Ore. – All nine Great Northwest Athletic Conference track and field programs were recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association with the organization’s academic awards for the 2023 season.

Seven schools received the All-Academic Team award for both their men’s and women’s programs, while all nine conference track and field members earned the honor on the women’s side. Individually, a total of 38 student-athletes – 21 women and 17 men – earned the USTFCCCA All-Academic award. Central Washington, Northwest Nazarene, Simon Fraser, Western Oregon, and Western Washington were the conference schools that had both men and women selected for the individual award.

The team award is reserved for programs that maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, while the individual award goes to athletes who held a minimum GPA of 3.25 while earning an automatic or provisional qualifying mark during either the indoor or outdoor season.
