KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sharing is caring. Just ask Northwest Nazarene’s McKenzie Buell.

The senior midfielder was named the United Soccer Coaches Division II Women’s Soccer National Player of the Week on Tuesday after she dished out three assists in the Nighthawks’ 4-0 shutout of Western Oregon on Mar. 29.

Buell assisted on three insurance goals in the second half. She connected with junior forward Ashley Parton in the 62nd minute, freshman defender Alejandra Jaramillo in the 65th and sophomore forward Carolyn Moravec in the 85th.

Buell leads all GNAC players this spring with seven assists and is tied for first with 11 points. She became the 19th player in GNAC women’s soccer history to record three assists in a match.

Northwest Nazarene improved to 6-0-0 as it enters the second half of its season. The winning streak includes four straight wins over GNAC opponents.

The Nighthawks will end their season with five matches on the road. They will play at Montana State Billings on Thursday before playing NAIA Carroll (Mont.) in a neutral site match in Billings on Saturday.
