PORTLAND, Ore. – Saint Martin’s Kathryn Crimp has been one of the best golfers on the course this season for the Saints and backs that up in the classroom by leading 15 selections to the GNAC 2022-23 Women’s Golf All-Academic Team, presented by Barnes & Noble College, with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
The senior mathematics and secondary education major is one of five selections to the GNAC All-Academic Team with a GPA of 3.75 or higher. On the course, Crimp ranks second for Saint Martin’s with an 80.7 stroke average through 15 rounds in eight tournaments. Her best result of the season came at the Saint’s own SMU Bishop Invitational in September, finishing the tournament with a two-round score of 157 to tie for 15th.
Crimp is one of nine repeat honorees and one of two three-time selections along with senior teammate Jada French. French owns a 3.61 GPA as an exercise science major while. French’s top result of the season to date came at the SMU Bishop Invitational where she carded a two-round score of 157 to finish in a tie for 15th.
The All-Academic Team also features a pair of four-time honorees in Saint Martin’s senior Katherine Swor and Western Washington senior Megan Billeter. Swor holds a 3.90 GPA while majoring in psychology and social work and ranks fourth for the Saints with an 81.5 stroke average.
Billeter owns a 3.50 GPA while pursuing a master’s degree in business administration. Her 78.4 stroke average ranks fifth for the Vikings and eighth in the GNAC. Billeter has finished in the top 15 in three tournaments this season, including a win at the SMU Bishop Invitational where she carded a two-round score of 1-under-par 143 to lead the Vikings to victory.
Northwest Nazarene leads all teams with five All-Academic Team selections, followed by Montana State Billings and Saint Martin’s who each have four honorees.
To qualify for the GNAC All-Academic Teams, nominees must be of sophomore eligibility or greater, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 or greater on a 4.00 scale, be on the team roster for the full season and must be in their second year at the nominating institution.
