PORTLAND, Ore. – Half of the conference's six women's golf teams were in action this week at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational and Leslie Spalding Cup.

It was Concordia who highlighted the group, taking third place in Rohnert Park, Calif. with a two-round total of 606. Senior Shantel Antonio led the way for the Cavaliers in their fifth tournament of the 2018-19 campaign, finishing with rounds of 70 and 77 to tie for medalist honors ahead of a large field. In total, 68 individual competitors competed in Rohnert Park.

Saint Martin's and Montana State Billings were the other teams competing last week. The Saints joined CU at Foxtail Golf Club, while the Yellowjackets competed in their annual match play-variant event against Rocky Mountain.

AROUND THE GNAC
CONCORDIA
• The Cavaliers put a cap on their fall season with a third-place finish this week at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational.

• Concordia put together a two-day total of 606 to finish just five strokes behind first-place and host Sonoma State. It was CU's second consecutive third-place finish, coming on the heels of its showing at the Western Washington Invitational earlier in October.

• Senior Shantel Antonio tied for medalist honors, shooting a 3-over-par 147 over the two days. Included in that score was an opening-round 70, which was the tournament's best individual round.

• It's Keizer, Oregon native Cammie Decker who leads Concordia in scoring average at 75.9. The junior is currently ranked third in the GNAC.

• The Cavaliers break for the winter now, finishing the fall season with top-three finishes in all but one of their five events.  

MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
• Playing in their annual match-play style event against Rocky Mountain, the Yellowjackets were in action at the Leslie Spalding Cup in Billings.

• Sophomore Renae Heisler led the way for MSUB, earning two points for her team via the alternate shot and singles portions of the event.

• It's senior Shealyn Hafer who leads the team in scoring average through 10 rounds with an average of 79.4. The Butte, Montana native is currently ranked eighth in the GNAC.

• Montana State Billings breaks for the winter now, returning to the course in March at the Beaver Invitational in Las Vegas. The tournament will run March 8-9 at Aliante Golf Club.

SAINT MARTIN'S
• Saint Martin's finished its third and final event of the fall season with a 12th place showing at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational.

• The Saints were paced by freshman Michaela Morris, who carded rounds of 83 and 82 en route to a T44 finish in Rohnert Park. She was one of two SMU representatives inside the top-60.

• Senior TiAnna Ford leads the team in scoring average through six rounds with an average of 86.2.

• Saint Martin's will return to the links in March, taking to Hayward, Calif for the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. The tournament is scheduled to run March 4-5 at Corica Park Golf Course.
