INDIANAPOLIS – Simon Fraser will be among 12 women's golf teams competing at the NCAA Division II West Super Regional in Amarillo, Texas, beginning on May 6 as announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon.

Joining the Clan are a pair of Concordia upperclassmen as junior Cammie Decker and senior Shantel Antonio will be competing as individuals.

Simon Fraser will be making its second NCAA postseason appearance in program history as the No. 12 seed. The team is coming off its third GNAC Championships title in the past four years, winning the tournament at the Coeur d'Alene Resort with a score of 45-over-par 613. Senior Belinda Lin led SFU, placing second individually with a two-round total of 148.

Head coach Matthew Steinbach's team has recorded a trio of top-two team finishes this year, including a second-place showing against a stacked field at the CSUSM Fall Classic in October. Junior Jaya Rampuri has paced the team throughout the season, tallying four top-10 and a pair of top-five finishes.

Making their first-ever NCAA postseason appearances will be Decker and Antonio. The pair rank second and third in the conference in scoring average and have found themselves at the top of multiple leaderboards throughout the year. Antonio has received medalist honors at three tournaments in her senior season, while Decker has one individual title heading into regional action.

The duo led the Cavaliers to a strong second-place showing at the GNAC Championships last week. Antonio finished in fourth place with a 10-over par total of 152, while Decker was right behind her teammate in sixth at 12-over.

The super regional will be played at Amarillo Country Club. It is one of four regionals being played to help determine which teams will advance to the national championships. A total of 48 teams from the eight regions were selected along with 24 golfers chosen to compete individually.

The tournament will be played over three days with 54 holes of competition. Both the top three teams and the top three individuals that are competing unattached will advance to the championships, which will be held in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on May 15-18.
