Women's and Men's Basketball Championships Information

Dates: The 2022 GNAC Men’s and Women's Basketball Championships will be held March 2-5 at Marcus Pavilion on the campus of Saint Martin's University and at Royal Brougham Pavilion on the campus of Seattle Pacific University.

Tournament Format: In an effort to lessen the effects of postponements and cancellations of games this season due to COVID-19, the GNAC has invited all 10 men's teams and all 10 women's teams to participate in the championship. The No. 7, No. 8, No. 9 and No. 10 seeded teams will participate in first-round games on Tuesday, March 2. The top six seeds will enter the tournament in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday, March 3. Tournament seeding will be determined using the GNAC Points Rating System.

The winners of the GNAC Championships will automatically qualify for their respective NCAA Division II Championships events. The West Region's No. 1 seed in each gender earns regional hosting rights.

Saint Martin's Site Information
All games at Saint Martin's will be held at Marcus Pavilion, 5300 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey, WA 98503.

Parking: Free parking is available in the lots surrounding Marcus Pavilion. Parking passes are not required.

COVID Protocols: All fans attending basketball games at Saint Martin’s are required to wear facemasks regardless of vaccination status.

Seattle Pacific Site Information
All games at Seattle Pacific will be held at Royal Brougham Pavilion, 3414 3rd Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119.

Parking: Before 4 p.m., fans should utilize street parking around Royal Brougham Pavilion and the SPU campus. After 4 p.m., parking is allowed in SPU lots.

COVID-19 Protocols: Facemasks worn over the nose and mouth are required for all spectators over 5 years old, regardless of vaccination status.

Championship Bracket: The bracket will be announced on GNACSports.com at the conclusion of the regular season (Saturday night, Feb. 26).
