ONLINE TRACK AND FIELD TICKETS

PORTLAND, Ore. - Tickets are available online for next weekend's (May 8-9) Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championship Track and Field Championships at McArthur Stadium on the campus of Western Oregon University.

Daily session tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for students if purchased online.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $8 for adults and $5 for students.  Children under 12 are admitted for free.  Tickets may be purchased online until Thursday, May 7 at midnight.

General admission tickets will be sold beginning at 1 p.m. Friday (May 8) and 8:30 a.m. Saturday (May 9).

The meet begins Friday at 2 p.m. with finals in the men's shot put and women's discus.  Field event finals will also be held Friday in the men's discus, men's high jump, women's long jump, women's pole vault, men's long jump and women's shot put.

Following the opening ceremony at 2:40 p.m., finals are also scheduled Friday for the women's and men's 3,000 steeplechase and women's and men's 10,000 meters.

Prelims will be held Friday  in the men's and women's 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and 800 meters and in the women's 100 hurdles and the men's 110 meter hurdles.

The championship meet continues Saturday beginning with the women's hammer at 9:30 a.m. and the men's javelin at 9:45 a.m.  The opening ceremonies are scheduled for 10:55 a.m.  The first running event Saturday is the women's 4x100 relay at 11 a.m.
