Outfielders Meg Harasymczuk and Rose Harrington of Montana State Billings and utility player Morgan Klemm of Saint Martin's have been named to Daktronics NCAA Division II West Regional all-star team.

All three players were second team selections. Harasymczuk batted .365 and also recorded team-highs in home runs (15), runs batted in (48), total bases (104), slugging percentage (.759), walks (26) and on-base percentage (.464).

Her 48 RBI this season set a new school record for most RBI in a single season, eclipsing the former top mark set by Steph Gosselin in 2009. Her home run mark also matches the single-season record set by Theresa Campbell in 2004.

Harrington batted a team-leading .401. She led the team with 71 hits and was second on the team with 12 doubles, 96 total bases and 14 stolen bases.

Her .401 batting average ranks seventh all-time in MSUB history. Her career average of .377 current ranks third. Klemm finished her senior season with a .422 average, ranking second in the conference.

Coert Steps Down As Northwest Nazarene Softball Coach, Replaced by Rich Wagner

Julie Coert has resigned as head softball coach for the Crusaders and has been replaced by Rich Wagner.

Coert recently completed her ninth season as head coach at NNU and finishes her tenure with a 103-334 career record.  Julie led the Crusaders to a school record 23 wins in 2006 and she was named GNAC Co-Coach of the Year.

Wagner brings 10 years of coaching experience with college-level student-athletes, having served as an assistant with the Crusader baseball program from 2001 to 2005 and as a head coach in the Boise Summer League (BSL) from 2007 to 2011.

Wagner graduated from NNU in 1999 with a degree in Political Science and enjoyed a four-year baseball career as a Crusader.

He earned the Eldon Beer Baseball Award in 1995 as the Crusaders top freshman player and was a second-team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference team member in both 1997 and 1998.

Wagner's teams have compiled a 98-63 record over the past five seasons in the BSL, including a championship in 2010.

"Rich is a great mission fit and will provide quality leadership on and off the playing field," Sander continued. "As a former NNU student-athlete and former assistant baseball coach, he has a strong network in the valley and beyond of alumni and constituents."
