PORTLAND, Ore. – A total of 20 GNAC student-athletes representing all four of the conference’s competing institutions have been named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Division II Scholar-Athletes.

The CRCA awards recognize student-athletes who are in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, must have rowed in 70 percent of their regular-season competition and/or at their conference or NCAA championship and must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or greater.

The GNAC honorees are led by Western Washington senior Maddie Bangasser, who was recognized for the third consecutive year. Joining Bangasser as a repeat selection are Seattle Pacific seniors LeeAnn Arrington and Danielle Johnson, Central Oklahoma senior Allison Staley and Western Washington junior Clarice Ruhlin-Hicks.

Central Oklahoma and Cal Poly Humboldt led all GNAC programs with six CRCA Scholar-Athletes. Seattle Pacific and Western Washington had four honorees apiece. A total of 52 Division II rowers received the recognition.
