GNAC Softball Championships Shifts To Ellensburg

Monday, May 2, 2022

PORTLAND, Ore. – Due to a forecast for heavy rain in the Puget Sound region this week and the prospect of unplayable field conditions at Saint Martin’s University’s softball field, the GNAC Softball Championships will be moving from Saint Martin’s to Frederick Field on the campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

With the change in site, the tournament schedule will also shift to best take advantage of the forecast. Three games will be played on Thursday with No. 2 seed Saint Martin’s playing No. 3 seed Western Washington at 10 a.m. and No. 1 seed Northwest Nazarene facing No. 4 seed Central Washington at 12:30 p.m.

The losers of games one and two will play each other in an elimination game on Thursday at 3 p.m. The winners of games one and two will face off on Friday at 11 a.m., with a second elimination game to follow at 1:30 p.m. The championship game will take place on Saturday at noon.

All games of the GNAC Softball Championships will be live streamed at GNAC.tv.

Fans who have already purchased advance tickets for the Saint Martin’s site will have their tickets honored at the Central Washington site.
