PORTLAND, Ore. – The Coeur d’Alene Resort, one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier golf destinations and home to the world-famous “floating green,” will continue to serve as the presenting sponsor of the GNAC Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships through the 2021 season.

The agreement between the GNAC and the Coeur d’Alene Resort marks the continuation of a long and successful relationship between the two entities. The 2018 GNAC Golf Championships the 10th consecutive year that the tournament has been contested at the luxury property in north Idaho.

Located on the north shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene about 35 miles east of Spokane, Washington, the course has drawn widespread recognition, once earning the designation as “America’s Most Beautiful Resort Golf Course” by Golf Digest magazine.

The 6,803-yard, par 71 layout features the famous 14th hole “floating green,” a man-made island that rests in Lake Coeur d’Alene. A unique feature of the green is its ability to be computer-controlled to a different distance from the tee each day.

“We are extremely excited to continue conducting our conference championship at Coeur d’Alene Resort,” said GNAC commissioner Dave Haglund. “We continually hear from our student-athletes that this is an annual highlight because the student-athlete experience is so exceptional. We want to thank everyone at the resort for all they do in creating a memorable championship atmosphere.”

Future GNAC Golf Championships will be contested at the resort on April 22-23, 2019; April 20-21, 2020; and April 19-20, 2021.
