THIS WEEK'S GNAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE
Devin O’Hea, Simon Fraser
F • 6-1 • Junior • North Vancouver, B.C.
O’Hea tallied a pair of goals in this week’s matches for Simon Fraser with one in the Red Leafs 2-0 over Sonoma State on Thursday and the other being the game-winning goal to beat Chico State 1-0 on Saturday. O’Hea led the GNAC in goals and points last week.

DEFENSE
Justyn Sandhu, Simon Fraser
GK • 6-3 • Junior • Richmond, B.C.
Sandhu recorded a pair of shutouts for the Red Leafs against Sonoma State and Chico State this week making eight saves on 31 shots against. Sandhu has the second most saves in the GNAC after last week and is 22nd in Division II with an average of 5.33 per match.

AROUND THE GNAC
MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
• Montana State Billings opened its season this week with a pair of matches against No. 25 CSU-Pueblo and UC Colorado Springs at their own Rimrock Classic in Memory of Trevor Wildberger. The Yellowjackets were snake bitten and unable to find the back of the net dropping their match 1-0 against CSU-Pueblo on Thursday and 3-0 against Colorado Springs on Saturday.

• Goalkeeper Jeremi Campagnolo is fourth in the GNAC with 14 saves.

• Jeremie Briquet leads the way for the Yellowjackets with five shots.

• Montana State Billings continues its season this week away from home on Thursday against No. 18 Colorado Mesa and on Saturday against Fort Lewis.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE
• Northwest Nazarene continues to sit atop the standings after going 1-1 last week. The Nighthawks took a 1-0 win over UC Colorado Springs on Thursday at the Rimrock Classic before dropping a 6-0 loss to No. 25 CSU-Pueblo on Saturday.

• Nighthawks forward Jake Levine netted NNU’s lone goal last week with just 12 seconds remaining in the match to propel the team to victory. The tally marked Levine’s 25 career goal.

• Goalkeeper Sawyer Price is fifth in the GNAC with 13 saves to his name.

• Lukas Juodkunaitis’ three assists lead the GNAC and rank him 10th in Division II.

• Northwest Nazarene continued their season with a 3-0 win over Chaminade at home on Tuesday before No. 14 West Texas A&M comes to Nampa on Saturday.

SAINT MARTIN'S
• Saint Martin’s dropped a pair of matches this week as the Saints continue to try and find their footing in the young season. On Thursday, SMU lost out to Chico State 6-1 with Arjun Gill scoring the team’s only goal. On Saturday, the Saints fell 3-0 at Sonoma State.

• Saint Martin’s goalkeeper Hunter Askland is third in the GNAC with 15 saves which ranks him 36th in Division II.

• The Saints look to improve as they face a pair of CCAA opponents in Stanislaus State on Friday before taking on Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday with both matches in Monmouth.

SEATTLE PACIFIC
• Seattle Pacific found their scoring touch this week as the Falcons netted two goals against No. 14 West Texas A&M, taking the lead early in the first half but falling just short in the long run to fall 3-2.

• Demian Alvarez and Andrew Tran scored for the Falcons with Alvarez finding the back of the net in the 14th minute to put Seattle Pacific up early.

• Lars Helleren made five saves in net for the Falcons while facing 22 shots.

• Judah Johnston continues to lead the way for Seattle Pacific in shots, adding three on Saturday against West Texas A&M to bring his total on the season to eight. Johnston is tied for second in the GNAC in shots.

• The Falcons rank second in the conference in shots with 31 in their three matches.

• Seattle Pacific will aim to convert on more of its chances on the road when they face Colorado Mines on Saturday. 

SIMON FRASER
• Simon Fraser had a perfect week with a shutout win over Sonoma State, 2-0, on Thursday and another clean sheet win against Chico State, 1-0, on Friday.

• Red Leafs goalkeeper Justyn Sandhu recorded both shutout wins for SFU, earning GNAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his eight-save week while facing 31 shots.

• Simon Fraser forward Devin O’Hea was named GNAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring in both matches with his game-winning goal lifting the Red Leafs to victory over Chico State.

• Simon Fraser’s .941 team save percentage ranks ninth in Division II.

• The Red Leafs take to the road this week as they face Point Loma on Thursday and No. 18 Colorado Mesa on Saturday.

WESTERN OREGON
• Western Oregon has struggled to find the winning form from its first match, dropping its first match of the week, 2-0, on Thursday against Westminster (Utah) and its Saturday neutral site match against Colorado Mesa 6-1.

• Juan Suarez has made the most saves of any goalkeeper in the GNAC this season with 21 in three matches, ranking him eighth in Division II.

• The two freshmen, Alex Grignon and Abraham Villalobos, continue to lead the way for the Wolves with Villalobos recording the second Western Oregon goal of the season against Colorado Mesa off of a Grignon assist.

• Western Oregon will be looking to find more scoring as they take on No. 10 Cal St. Dominguez Hills on Friday and Stanislaus State on Sunday in Monmouth.

WESTERN WASHINGTON
• Western Washington still has yet to allow a goal after the second week of play and battled to a 0-0 draw with No. 14 West Texas A&M on Thursday.

• Vikings goalkeeper Patrick Restum's perfect save percentage leads the GNAC and ties him for first in Division II with 10 other players.

• While Western Washington has only scored one goal this season, they remain the only GNAC team yet to suffer a loss.

• The Vikings will hope to find their offensive touch when they hit the road to face Colorado Mines on Thursday and Regis on Sunday.
