ST. GEORGE, Utah – A historic men's golf season for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference came to a close on Saturday at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional.

This marked the first year in conference history where three men's golf teams advanced to regional action.

Leading the conference in St. George was Simon Fraser, finishing the tournament at 12-over-par to bring its total score to 876. That had the Clan in a tie for 12th place, led by B.C. product Aidan Goodfellow. Goodfellow rounded out a strong postseason with a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday, finishing in a tie for 16th on the individual leaderboard.

Just one stroke behind Goodfellow on that leaderboard was Concordia sophomore Riley Killip. The Cavaliers' top finisher birdied the 16th and made pars on each of his final two holes to get inside the top-20 with a three-day total of 1-under-par.

The regional consisted of three rounds played over three days on the 7,145-yard, par-72 course.

Concordia finished the day in 15th place as a team. Division I transfer Spencer Rhodes had the low round of the day for his team, making a birdie and eagle on two of his first three holes before ultimately finishing with an even-par 72.

Simon Fraser's Sy Lovan was the conference's other representative inside the top-30 on the individual leaderboard. Lovan finished in a tie for 30th, led by his low round of 71 on Friday between bookend scores of 73.

Western Washington rounded out the GNAC's representation in 16th place. The Vikings end the 2018-19 campaign with seven team titles, including a first-place finish at the GNAC Championships last month.

Winning the regional was host Dixie State at a total of 17-under-par. The Trailblazers tallied a total score of 282 in the final round. They will be joined by UC San Diego, Cal State Monterey Bay and Sonoma State at the NCAA Championships, all of which finished in the top-four in St. George to advance to nationals.
