ST. GEORGE, Utah – A pair of GNAC teams in addition to Concordia sophomore Riley Killip all sit inside the top-10 after two rounds on the team and individual leaderboards at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional.

Leading the way is Simon Fraser, finishing the second day at 1-under-par to bring their total score to 583 for the tournament. That has the Clan sitting in eighth place, led by B.C. products Aidan Goodfellow and Sy Lovan. The pair sit at even-par and are tied for 18th on the individual leaderboard.

Also in eighth place on that individual leaderboard is Killip. The sophomore made four birdies on Friday to vault into the top-10, now sitting at 3-under-par for the regional.

The regional consists of three rounds played over three days on the 7,145-yard, par-72 course.

Western Washington opened the day in ninth place and ended it there. Sophomore Brody Bonfilio, fresh off medalist honors at the GNAC Championships, carded the low round of the day for the Vikings with a 1-under total of 71.

The Cavaliers round out the GNAC's representation and enter Saturday sitting in a tie for 14th.

Leading the regional entering the final round is host Dixie State at a total of 11-under-par. The Trailblazers tallied a total score of 282 in the second round. The top four teams in the 20-team tournament will move on to the NCAA Championships that will be played May 20-24 in Daniels, West Virginia.

Also inside the top-30 on the individual leaderboard are WWU seniors Nick Sparling and Cody Roth. The pair are tied for 26th with matching totals of 1-over-par for the tournament.

Saint Martin's sophomore Tyler Fitchett, the conference's lone competing individual in St. George, saw one of the field's biggest round-to-round improvements with a 74 in round two.

Play will resume on Saturday morning in St. George as the top golfers in the region return to the course for the final round.
