DuPONT, Wash. -- The 2013 NCAA Men's Golf Super Regionals may be nearly 10 months out, but preparations for the GNAC-hosted event are well underway.

The 54-hole tournament will be played at The Home Course here May 6-8. Assisting the GNAC with hosting responsibilities are Saint Martin's University and Western Washington University. In addition, the event is being supported by the Tacoma South Sound Sports Commission and the Washington State Golf Association.

The Home Course, which was the assisting course for the 2010 U.S. Amateur, is located about 15 miles north of Olympia.

The first major planning meeting took place in mid-July. Participants included GNAC commissioner Dave Haglund, WWU golf coach Steve Card, SMU golf coach Kevin Bishop, SMU administrative assistant Debbie Rogers, WSGA executive director Troy Andrew, Home Course director of golf Ron Hagen, and Emily Miller of the Tacoma South Sound Sports Commission.

The tournament will feature 20 teams and a total of 108 players from the West and South Central regions. The top five teams from the event will advance to the NCAA Championships in Hershey, Pa.
