PORTLAND, Ore. – The men’s golf fall season continued this week with all six GNAC teams competing at the Concordia Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon.

For the second time this fall, and in dramatic fashion, Simon Fraser took home the team title. The Clan was tied with UC Colorado Springs at the top of the team leaderboard, with both teams carding a score of 858, but won a tiebreaker to claim the title.

Simon Fraser placed all four of its scoring players in the top-15. Sophomore Aidan Goodfellow paced the Clan, finishing tied for third place with a score of 2-under-par 211. Freshman Michael Crisologo finished two strokes behind with a score of even-par 213 to finish in a tie for sixth place with Concordia’s Jorgen Viken.

The top GNAC performer at the Concordia Invitational was Saint Martin’s sophomore Max Turnquist, who finished in second place with a score of 3-under-par 210.

Western Washington finished in third on the team leaderboard with a score of 861. Senior Ethan Casto led the Vikings with a score of 1-over-par 214 to finish tied for eighth with Montana State Billings junior Caleb Trost.

AROUND THE GNAC
CONCORDIA
• Concordia finished in fourth in the team standings at its own Concordia Invitational, finishing with a team score of 863 over three rounds. Three Cavaliers finished in the top-20.

• Freshman Jorgen Viken led the way for the Cavs, finishing tied for sixth place with a score of even-par 213.

• Senior Jaxson Daskalos finished tied for 14th place with a score of 3-over-par 216 while junior Riley Killip finished a stroke behind, tied for 18th with a score of 4-over-par 217.

• Sophomore Jonah Pemberton rounded out the Concordia scorers with a 22nd-place finish with a score of 5-over-par 218.

• Up next, the Cavs will head to Waikoloa, Hawaii, to compete at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate hosted by Hawaii Hilo. The tournament will run from Oct. 28-30.

MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
• Montana State Billings finished in eighth place at the Concordia Invitational with a score of 896.

• Junior Caleb Trost impressed at the Invitational, leading the Yellowjackets with a score of 1-over-par 214 to finish tied for eighth place.

• Senior Garrett Woodin had the next best individual performance, finishing in a tie for 40th place with a score of 225.

• Up next, the Yellowjackets will compete at the Sierra Central Wildcat Classic hosted by Chico State in Chico, California. The tournament will run from Oct. 14-15.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE
• Northwest Nazarene finished in 10th place at the Concordia Invitational with a score of 900.

• Senior Henry Bernard had the best individual performance for the Nighthawks, finishing tied for 11th with a score of 2-over-par 215. Bernard finished strong, shooting a 67 in the third round of the tournament.

• Freshman Grayson Giboney finished tied for 26th with a score of 7-over-par 220.

• Up next, the Nighthawks will compete in a dual match with The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. The match will take place on Saturday.

SAINT MARTIN’S
• Saint Martin’s finished in seventh place at the Concordia Invitational with a score of 879.

• Sophomore Max Turnquist led the Saints and the GNAC at the Concordia Invitational with a score of 3-under-par 210 to finish in second place. Turnquist shot a 69 in both the first and third rounds.

• Sophomores Dennis Geissler and Jordan Terada finished tied for 35th with scores of 10-over-par 223.

• Up next, the Saints will compete at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The tournament will run from Oct. 28-30.

SIMON FRASER
• Simon Fraser won its second tournament of the fall at the Concordia Invitational. Finishing tied for first place with UC Colorado Springs with a score of 858, the Clan won a tiebreaker to take the title.

• The Clan placed all four scoring players in the top-15.

• Sophomore Aidan Goodfellow paced the Clan with a score of 2-under-par 211 to tie for third place. Freshman Michael Crisologo finished two strokes behind with a score of even-par 213 to finish tied for sixth place.

• Sophomores Isaac Lee and Ryan Stolys rounded out the Simon Fraser scorers, finishing tied for 11th with scores of 2-over-par 215.

• Senior Scott Kerr also impressed with a score of 6-over-par 219 to finish tied for 23rd.

• The victory at the Concordia Invitational was the end of the Clan’s fall season.

WESTERN WASHINGTON
• Western Washington finished in third place at the Concordia Invitational with a score of 861, trailing Simon Fraser and UC Colorado Springs by three strokes. All four of the Vikings’ scoring players finished in the top-20.

• Senior Ethan Casto led the Vikings again with a score of 1-over-par 214 to finish tied for eighth place.

• Sophomore Aidan Thain impressed with a score of 3-over-par 216 to finish tied for 14th place.

• Freshman Drew Halili and Sophomore Jordan Lee tied for 18th place with scores of 4-over-par 217.

• Up next, the Vikings will compete at the Otter Invitational hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay in Seaside, California. The tournament will run from Oct. 21-22.
