KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Montana State Billings senior guard Carrington Wiggins already had a phenomenal year for the Yellowjackets, but his collegiate basketball career isn’t done just yet.

Wiggins, already named the GNAC Player of the Year and First Team NABC and D2CCA All-West Region, has been named to the NABC Reese’s Division II College All-Star Game. The All-Star Game is set to be played at the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Elite Eight on Friday, Mar. 24 at 6:00 p.m. (Central) at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.

Wiggins led the Yellowjacket men’s basketball program back to the NCAA Division II Championships for the first time since the 2011-2012 season and helped them reach 20 wins for the first time since 2005-2006. Wiggins was the first Yellowjacket in the history of the program to be named the GNAC Player of the Year as he joined Bilal Shabazz as First Team All-GNAC selections. The ‘Jackets finished the season 20-10 (14-4 GNAC) which was good for a second-place finish in the GNAC and the No. 7 seed in the NCAA West Regional.

An illustrious career, Wiggins started all 58 possible games in a Yellowjacket uniform, averaging 17.4 points, four rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He finishes his two year MSUB career with 1,011 career points and added his name multiple times to the program's top 10 lists. Wiggins finishes second in single season free-throw percentage at 91.5% this year, which is seventh in Division II; 10th in single season steals with 56, and tied for fifth in free throw percentage in a single game (13/13 at Minot State on Nov. 19).

Wiggins will be on the West All-Star Team, who is coached by Marty Bell, current Simpson Athletic Director and former Quincy Coach. Each All-Star team is made up of eight total players from various Division II institutions.

Wiggins is the first GNAC player selected for the Reese's Division II College All-Star Game since Western Washington's Taylor Stafford was selected in 2017. He is the 11th overall GNAC player selected to play in the game.
