PORTLAND, Ore. – Seattle Pacific senior guard Harry Cavell made the most of his extra season with the Falcons, being named to the College Sports Information Directors of America’s (CoSIDA) Division II Men’s Basketball Academic All-America Team for the second year in a row.

Cavell was named to the second team after earning Third Team Academic All-America honors in 2021. He was the only player from the West Region elected to the 15-member squad.

With a 3.78 GPA while enrolled in Seattle Pacific’s master’s of data analytics program, Cavell finished his undergraduate career with a 3.84 GPA as a business administration major. He was one of two Seattle Pacific players to be named to the GNAC Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team for an unprecedented fourth time.

An Honorable Mention All-GNAC selection, Cavell was part of an experienced Seattle Pacific lineup that finished with a 14-12 overall record and was seeded No. 6 in the GNAC Men’s Basketball Championships. Cavell finished the season averaging 13.3 points and six rebounds per game and ranked ninth in the GNAC in free throw shooting at 81.7 percent. He also ranked seventh in the conference with 1.5 steals per game.

Cavell started all 27 games for the Falcons and scored in double digits in 21 of those games. He finished with a season-high 24 points at Alaska Anchorage on Dec. 30 and also scored 23 points against Northwest (Wash.) on Dec. 8.
