PORTLAND, Ore. – A total of 43 players from five GNAC programs were named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2021-22 academic year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Western Washington led the way with 12 All-America Scholar-Athletes. Northwest Nazarene, the 2022 GNAC Champion, saw 11 players honored. Montana State Billings had 10 players named, Western Oregon nine and Simon Fraser one.

Players named as All-America Scholar-Athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater. The 43 are among 1,646 players honored at the collegiate level in 2021-22.

In addition to the 43 honored athletes, Montana State Billings, Northwest Nazarene and Western Oregon received NFCA team GPA awards. The program recognizes teams with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. The three are among 97 Division II teams honored. For both awards, the team’s head coach must be a dues-paying member of the NFCA.

The Nighthawks team was ranked 55th with a 3.47 GPA Montana State Billings was also recognized in the rankings in 62nd with a 3.45 GPA along with Western Oregon in 68th and a 3.38 GPA.
