CLEVELAND – A total of 326 Great Northwest Athletic Conference student-athletes have been recognized by the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) with the organization’s Academic Achievement Award.

Central Washington led the five GNAC institutions recognized in the program with 136 honorees. The number ranks among the top-30 among the 188 institutions honored by the D2 ADA and is the most of any West Region school. Western Washington had 67 honorees followed by Seattle Pacific (65), Western Oregon (49) and Simon Fraser (9).

Student-athletes receiving the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards must be at an institution where the athletic director is a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA. Now in its 14th year, the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards program recognized a record 16,262 student-athletes in 2020-21. For the third consecutive year, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference leads all conferences with 1,466 total honorees.
