PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider returned Tuesday at 7 p.m. (PT) as conference play has opened for many of the GNAC’s fall sports teams. Among the episode’s guests were representatives from two of the GNAC’s hottest soccer teams.

Leading off was Brandon Madsen, a senior forward on the Saint Martin’s men’s soccer team. Madsen scored six goals to lift the Saints to three wins last week.

The all-time leading goal scorer in Saint Martin’s history, Madsen continues to prove that he is one of the top scorers in the nation. Heading into the Saints’ conference schedule, Madsen has nine goals and 19 points, both of which top the GNAC and Division II.

In the midst of her first season as head coach of the Western Oregon soccer team, Kacey Bingham joined the show. Bingham has coached at the collegiate level for 15 years, including stints at Paradise Valley Community College, Dixie State and Saint Mary’s College of California.

Under the direction of Bingham, Western Oregon has been more aggressive on offense. Heading into conference play, the Wolves’ offensive numbers and overall record have already matched or are near matching last year’s totals.

GNAC Insider was also joined by Colby Otero, a sophomore on the Seattle Pacific men’s cross country team. Otero paced the Falcons at the PLU Invitational on Sept. 21, finishing in third place with a time of 25:47.3. The Falcons won both the men’s and women’s team titles at the meet.
