CLEVELAND, Ohio – A total of 362 GNAC student-athletes from seven member schools are among a record 11,660 student-athletes to receive Academic Achievement Awards from the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA).

Seattle Pacific led the seven GNAC schools with 69 honorees. Concordia finished 66 honorees while Central Washington had 62 student-athletes receive the award. Also represented is Western Oregon (59), Western Washington (44), Alaska Anchorage (35) and Simon Fraser (27).

Student-athletes receiving the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards must be at an institution where the athletic director is a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA. Nominees must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college-level work and must have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year.

The 362 honorees for the GNAC is a leap from the 264 student-athletes honored by the program in 2018.

In total, there were 11,660 student-athletes from 185 institutions recognized with Academic Achievement Awards. This set the record for the most participation from institutions and the largest number of student-athletes being nominated. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) led all conferences with 975 honorees.
