Why Did You Decide To Work In College Athletics? I have a passion to help others articulate and achieve their goals. An internship in the Department of Athletics my sophomore year of college led me to this field.

Who Has Influenced You The Most As A Professional – Either As An Inspiration, A Mentor Or Philosophically? Everyone that told me becoming a college AD was too difficult and that I should look at another profession that was not so competitive.

Biggest Obstacle Overcome As A Professional: At this point in time it is my age.

What Does Division II Mean To You? Family and balance. These are the two reasons I love being a part of Division II from my time as a student-athlete to my current role as vice president and athletic director.

Extracurricular Activities: Family, golf and spending time with friends.

Best Advice You’d Give To Student-Athletes: It takes a lifetime to build your reputation and character and only a second to lose it. Work hard, have fun and remember that college athletics should be a very special time in your life where you build friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

If I Could Spend The Day With One Person (Past Or Present), Who Would It Be And Why? Any of my family members that have passed away. We shared some special moments while they were here but, now that I am older, I wish my own girls could have met them as there is a piece of each of them in both of my daughters.

Favorite Sports Team: Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and Irish.

Favorite Athlete: Michael Jordan

Most Memorable Sports-Related Moment: It will be when we win our 1st team GNAC championship here at Concordia.
