PORTLAND, Ore.  – GNAC Insider aired its 89th episode on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Pacific time. The show featured Simon Fraser men’s golfer Chris Crisologo, Alaska Anchorage head women’s basketball coach Ryan McCarthy and Central Washington softball outfielder Celine Fowler.

Crisologo is a sophomore for the Simon Fraser men’s golf team. He was selected the GNAC Freshman of the Year last season as he continues to build on his strong freshman campaign. He currently leads the GNAC with an average round score of 71.78 in six tournaments this season, finishing in the top-15 in each. Simon Fraser is the reigning GNAC champions and own the top average team score in the GNAC at 293.28. The Clan takes part in the Mustang Intercollegiate next week on Apr. 4 and 5 for its final tournament of the season before the GNAC Championships on Apr. 18 and 19. Crisologo spoke about his impressive second season, the Clan's goal to defend their title and the upcoming GNAC Championships.

McCarthy is in his fourth season as Alaska Anchorage head women’s basketball coach as he has led the Seawolves to the NCAA Division II national title game. Alaska Anchorage won its Final Four game last week, 77-57, over Grand Valley State to advance to the finals against undefeated Lubbock Christian. They play in Indianapolis, Ind., on Mon., Apr. 4 at 12 p.m. Pacific time. McCarthy was named the West Region Coach of the Year after leading the Seawolves to a 38-2 overall record. He has Alaska Anchorage in the national title game for the first time in program history. McCarthy spoke about the team's schedule heading into the championships, the matchup against Lubbock Christian and how the atmosphere in Anchorage has been.

Fowler is a sophomore center fielder for the Central Washington softball team. She is also the leadoff hitter for the Wildcats, setting the table for the middle of the lineup, using her speed to reach base and score runs. Fowler is tied for second in the GNAC with 12 stolen bases and is second on the team in batting average (.411), runs scored (24) and total hits (39). The Wildcats are in second place in the conference after winning five of six games last week, including sweeps of Western Washington and Concordia. Along with the other seven GNAC squads, the Wildcats travel to Turlock, Calif., this week for the Tournament of Champions, which features 26 West Region teams. Fowler spoke about leading off for the Wildcats, the team's 5-1 record last week and the trip to the Tournament of Champions.
