PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider will aired its 85th episode on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Pacific time. The show featured Saint Martin’s athletic director Bob Grisham, Western Oregon men’s basketball guard Devon Alexander and Alaska Anchorage women’s basketball guard Keiahnna Engle.

Grisham is the athletic director for Saint Martin’s as the university prepares to host the GNAC Basketball Championships this week. The tournament will consist of six teams, from both men’s and women’s basketball, in a single elimination format from Mar. 3-5. With 10 games spanning over three days, Saint Martin’s and the city of Lacey, Wash., will be host site for the third time in four years.

Alexander is a senior guard for the Western Oregon men’s basketball team, which will be the No. 1 seed at the GNAC Championships. The Wolves will receive a first-round bye and will play the winner between Central Washington and Seattle Pacific on Friday at 2:15 p.m. Alexander is one of four senior starters for Western Oregon, who are ranked No. 1 in the West Region and have ranked as high as No. 1 in the nation. He averages 9.8 points per game, 4.7 rebounds and is second on the team in assists (75) and steals (39). The four year starter for the Wolves has started 26 of 28 games this season and averages 31.9 minutes played per game.

Engel is a senior guard for the Alaska Anchorage women’s basketball team and was named the GNAC’s Newcomer of the Year after transferring from Division I Boise State for her senior season. The Seawolves will be the No. 1 seed at the GNAC Championships this week, receiving a first-round bye. They await the winner of Simon Fraser and Central Washington in the semifinal round.. Engel, an Anchorage native, was fourth on the Seawolves averaging 9.3 points per game. She appeared in 28 games, making five starts and playing 18.4 minutes per contest. She shot 48 percent from the field and pulled down 3.8 rebounds per game for the top-ranked Seawolves.
