PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 66 of the conference’s weekly radio show – GNAC Insider – aired Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. Pacific. Guests for the episode were Montana State Billings men’s soccer player Cameron Lee, Concordia volleyball player Shantel Gritsch and Seattle Pacific women’s head soccer coach Arby Busey.

Lee is a senior defender and captain for the MSUB men’s soccer team. He is also the President of MSUB’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Lee has been a mainstay for the Yellowjackets since his freshman year when he started all 18 matches. The Yellowjackets are 2-1-1 to start the season and lead the conference in goals (12). The team most recently defeated Carroll and South Dakota Mines at the MSUB Rimrock Classic by a combined 10-1 score. Lee spoke about starting since his freshman season, the MSUB men's soccer season and being the President of MSUB's SAAC program.

Gritsch is a senior captain for the Concordia volleyball team that has started 8-0 in its first season as a member of the GNAC. Gritsch leads the conference in digs per set (5.86). In week one, she was named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 5.93 digs per set in the team’s opening four matches at the GVSU Laker Riverfront Classic. The Cavailiers opened the tournament with a win over host No. 7 Grand Valley State in four sets. Led by Gritsch, Concordia has swept five opponents and lost just four sets in eight matches this season. Gritsch spoke about being a senior captain, Concordia's impressive 8-0 start to the season and how the team has made the transition to the NCAA Division II.

Busey is the Seattle Pacific women’s interim head soccer coach. Busey has been an assistant coach for SPU for the past nine years. The Falcons have started 4-0 and are the lone undefeated team in the GNAC. After week one, Seattle Pacific cracked the NSCAA Division II National Poll at No. 23. Busey replaced Chuck Sekyra who was the head coach for the previous 12 seasons and the winningest coach in program history. The Falcons returned from their first road trip of the season, defeating Notre Dame de Namur 1-0 and Cal State East Bay 3-2 in overtime. Busey talked about comparisons to the 2008 National Championship team, the 4-0 start for the team and the focus on defense with the SPU soccer programs.
