PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 54 of GNAC Insider included Seattle Pacific senior guard Riley Stockton, Alaska Anchorage heptathlon champion Cody Thomas and Simon Fraser soccer coach Clint Schneider.

Stockton is in his senior year for the Falcons. The Spokane native ranks in the top six in the GNAC in rebounds, assists and minutes played this season while also leading the Falcons in steals. Stockton also recently moved into the top 10 all-time in rebounds and assists in the GNAC. This season he’s led the Falcons to an 11-5 conference record which ties for second in the conference. Thursday the Falcons host Central Washington, which is also tied for second, in a pivotal game that could decide which team gets a first-round bye in the GNAC tournament next week. Stockton discussed the final chapter in his SPU career and his last game at Brougham Pavilion on Saturday.

Thomas is in his senior season with the Seawolves. This past weekend, Thomas won his third consecutive heptathlon at the GNAC Indoor Championships in Nampa, Idaho, breaking the meet record for points (4,985) and the 60 meter hurdles (8.50) portion of the event. His accomplishments earned Thomas Outstanding Male Performer of the Meet honors. The Alaska Anchorage men, the Red Lion Hotels Team of the Week, also took home the GNAC team title. Thomas talked about how he got from New Zealand to Alaska and how he is preparing for nationals March 13-14.

Schneider was recently hired as the Simon Fraser men’s soccer coach following the departure of Alan Koch who left to coach the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. Schneider, who has been a Clan assistant for five seasons, becomes the fifth coach in program history. With the Clan, Schneider has made two NCAA final four appearances with an overall record of 85-12-6. Last season with Schneider as the associate head coach, the Clan went 11-5-2 while making their third consecutive NCAA appearance. The San Angelo, Texas native talked about his vision for the team and about his Texas roots.
