PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 49 of GNAC Insider included Northwest Nazarene power forward Kevin Rima, Western Oregon director of athletics Barbara Dearing and Azusa Pacific running back Terrell Watson.

Rima is in his senior year playing for the Crusaders. The current GNAC Player if the Week scored 47 points in two wins over Simon Fraser and Western Washington last week, recording his 13th career double-double in the process. Rima has helped the Crusaders, who are the Red Lion Hotels Team of the Week, to a 5-2 conference recorded having won five of its past six games. Rima talked about his teams hot streak and about his families support in his NNU career.

Dearing is in her second year leading Western Oregon athletics. Dearing, who served as the Associate Athletic Director for Business & Financial Operations and Senior Woman Administrator at Portland State prior to Western Oregon, is a member of the GNAC’s senior management council and serves as the softball contact for the Regional Advisory Committee. Dearing discussed Western Oregon’s upcoming women’s basketball game on ROOT SPORTS and about WOU's involvement in the GNAC's 'Women in Sports' seminar.

Watson completed his final season with the Cougars in November. His 2,333 total yards this season and 338 yards rushing in his final game were two of a plethora of GNAC records Watson broke in his Azusa Pacific career. Now preparing for the NFL draft, Watson was recently named the Most Valuable Player at the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl held in Carson, Calif., after rushing for a game-high 55 yards and a touchdown. Watson talked about his experience at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and about his future beyond football.
