PORTLAND, Ore. - Guards Katie Colard of Western Washington, Erin Chambers of Simon Fraser and  Julian Nichols of Western Oregon have been selected the GNAC Women's and Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the Week of Nov. 24-30.

Following is a recap of their performances and a listing of honorable mention selections:

Women's Basketball - Katie Colard, Western Washington (G, 5-9, Sr., McCleary, WA - Elma) and Erin Chambers, Simon Fraser (G, 6-1, Sr., Mission, BC - Heritage Park) ... Colard was selected the MVP in the Lynda Goodrich Classic as she led the Vikings to the tournament title including a 85-56 win over sixth-ranked Tampa.  In that game,  she scored 23 points connecting on 7-of-9 three-point shots.  She also had 18 rebounds and eight assists in three victories ... Chambers scored 67 points in three games, including 34 in a 90-69 win over Colorado Christian.  In three games, she had 20 rebounds, 13 assists and six steals.

Honorable Mention - Jordan Wilson, Alaska (F, 5-11, So., Henderson, CO - Prairie View); Megan Mullings, Alaska Anchorage (F, 6-1, Jr., Glendale, AZ - South Mountain); Kayleen Goggins, Montana State Billings (F, 6-1, Sr., Shepherd, MT); Taylor Simmons, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-8, Jr., Middleton, ID); Brooke Paulson, Saint Martin's (F, 5-10, Sr., Buckley, WA - White River); Sami Osborne, Western Oregon (F, 6-1, Fr., Eugene, OR - Willamette).

Men’s Basketball – Julian Nichols, Western Oregon (G, 6-2, 175, Jr. Upland, CA) scored 51 points and also 10 rebounds, a team-high 14 assists and six steals in leading the Wolves to three road West Region victories, including a 67-52 win at 2014 playoff qualifier Dixie State.  Nichols made 15 of 31 field goal attempts and also converted on 19 of 20 foul shots. Twenty-six of his points came in Saturday’s 83-73 win at the Academy of Art.
