PORTLAND, Ore. – The final episode of GNAC Insider Season 1 is now available as a free podcast via iTunes and for archived listening in the GNAC Stretch Internet portal.

Joining host Kevin Young on the latest program were Central Washington baseball head coach Desi Storey, Simon Fraser golf head coach John Buchanan, and Western Washington women’s javelin thrower Bethany Drake. 

Storey recently led the Wildcats to the 2014 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Baseball Championships title, as CWU went 3-0 in the tournament last weekend in Monmouth, Ore. Storey discussed his team’s first-ever conference title, and securing the 500th victory of his career in the process. 

Buchanan and the Clan’s men’s golf team placed sixth at the NCAA Super Regional tournament last week in Austin, Texas, and will represent the GNAC at next week’s NCAA Championships in Allendale, Mich. Buchanan touched on his team’s success at the regional level and previewed their expectations for their first-ever NCAA Championship in men’s golf.

Drake enters next week’s NCAA Track and Field Championships as one of the top javelin throwers in the nation, and talked about the competition she expects to see at the top level across Division II.
