PORTLAND, Ore. - Guards Bobbi Knudsen of Montana State University Billings and Rodney Webster of Western Oregon have been selected the GNAC Red Lion Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the Week of Dec. 16-22.

Knudsen scored 32 points and also had 17 assists and 14 rebounds as the Yellowjackets earned one win and sustained a narrow one-point loss against nationally sixth-ranked Drury in the South Point Holiday Hoop Classic in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Webster came off the bench to lead the Wolves in scoring (35 points), assists (9) and steals (5) as WOU ran its win streak to four games and leveled its Division II win-loss record at 4-4.

Women's Basketball  - Bobbi Knudsen, Montana State Billings (G, 5-8, Sr., Malta, MT) scored 32 points while dishing out 17 assists and grabbing 14 rebounds in a pair of South Point Holiday Hoops Classic games. Knudsen led the Yellowjackets to a 78-58 win over Texas Woman's and was instrumental in MSUB's one-point loss to No. 6 Drury. Trailing by two points in the final minute against the Panthers, Knudsen drove into the paint, scored a layup and drew a foul. After converting the free throw to give MSUB a one-point lead with six seconds left, Drury got a buzzer-beater from 18 feet to shock the Yellowjackets and escape with the victory. "Bobbi played some incredible basketball over the two games," MSUB head coach Kevin Woodin said. "Our team played the two best games we have all season, and Bobbi was a top contributor in both contests."

Men's Basketball -  Rodney Webster, Western Oregon (G, 6-1, Sr., Hanford, CA – Hanford West & Fresno City CC) came off the bench to lead  the Wolves in scoring (35), assists (9) and steals (5) as WOU ran its win streak to four games with a pair of victories, including a 84-76 regional counting-win over South Dakota Mines.  Webster also had eight rebounds, the third most on the team, and shot 56 percent from the field (14-25) including three of four from beyond the three-point arc.  He also had one of WOU’s two blocks as the Wolves evened their regional record at 4-4.
