PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 13 of GNAC Insider, the weekly radio broadcast highlighting newsmakers from around the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, is now available as a podcast via iTunes and for archived listening via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal under the ‘on-demand’ tab.

The latest episode featured live guests Alan Koch of Simon Fraser men’s soccer, athletic director Steve Card of Western Washington, and Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball radio play-by-play announcer Keaton Homer.

Koch, who has led SFU to its second-straight men’s soccer Final Four berth, made his second appearance on GNAC Insider and discussed his team’s preparation for the NCAA semifinals. Koch reflected on some of his team’s accomplishments this season, including breaking its own GNAC record for most goals in a single season.

Card, who was an associate athletic director for 23 years before assuming the lead role with interim status beginning this academic year, talked about WWU’s women’s soccer, volleyball, and basketball programs. Card touched on the exciting atmosphere around campus brought on by the overwhelming success of the school’s fall sports programs.

With the UAA-hosted Great Alaska Shootout impending this week, Homer previewed both the men’s and women’s teams that would be competing in the annual classic. He also gave a first-hand perspective of the new Alaska Airlines Center, which will be the new home of Seawolf basketball and volleyball beginning next year.
