• The 28-team Desert Stinger softball tournament, one of the premier events of its kind in the country, takes place this weekend in Las Vegas. Montana State Billings athletic director Krista Montague provides some background on the event, which features 28 teams playing a total of 70 games across three days.
   
• With its second dramatic come-from-behind effort in the past month, Western Washington's men's basketball team captured GNAC Team of the Week honors. First-year head coach Tony Dominguez, who has led the Viks to a 20-0 record, talks about his club.
   
• It's rivalry Saturday in Ellensburg, Wash., as Central Washington hosts Western Washington in men's basketball. GNAC Insider checks in with high-scoring Wildcat guard Mark McLaughlin, who is averaging a conference-best 23.5 points per game, and CWU head coach Greg Sparlin.
   
• Milt Richards, athletic director at Simon Fraser, tells GNAC Insider about a visit last week by CBS Sports.
