PORTLAND, Ore. – A record 398 GNAC student-athletes from six institutions have received 2022 Academic Achievement Awards from the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA).

The 398 GNAC honorees are among a record 16,762 student-athletes honored from across 171 institutions in Division II. Nominees for the award must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year. Athletic directors at the nominating institution must be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.

Central Washington led the six GNAC institutions with 105 honorees. Seattle Pacific had 73 honorees followed by Montana State Billings (72), Western Oregon (65), Western Washington (65) and Simon Fraser (18).

The 398 GNAC honorees is up from the 326 honored by the D2 ADA in 2021 and up from the previous record of 362 set in 2019.

Now in its 15th year, the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards have honored nearly 128,000 student-athletes for their academic achievements.
