PORTLAND, Ore. - The Great Northwest Athletic Conference's Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) recently participated in the Great Urban Race, a fundraiser for the Saint Jude's Children's hospital during their annual spring meeting in Seattle.

The student-athletes started the event out as “social media experts” with the main objective to take pictures of the people attempting a challenge as part of the race, which was bending rebar by using nothing but your throat.

It may sound like an impossible feat to bend rebar by putting it on the soft spot of your throat and walking towards another person, but as the members of the GNAC SAAC can attest to, it is indeed possible!

Eventually the station got pretty crazy and SAAC's role changed from “Social media experts” to rebar-bending experts.
