The GNAC landed two baseball teams in the six-team West Regional field for the first time as Northwest Nazarene and Western Oregon both earned selection as the No. 4 and No. 6 seeds, respectively.

After racing out to a 5-0 lead, Western Oregon held on for a 5-2 victory over Northwest Nazarene to give WOU the GNAC Championships title, roaring all the way back through the bracket after losing its first game.

Parker Johnson threw an 80-pitch complete game and several Wolves had clutch, savvy hits in a 7-2 WOU win over Montana State Billings. The Wolves will turn around and play Northwest Nazarene for the title.

John Stark's two-run homer keyed a turnaround for Western Oregon in a 4-1 win over Northwest Nazarene. All three teams finished round robin play at 1-1 and have a chance to win the Championships on Saturday.

Fahsel Fuel: CWU Sparkplug Named Player Of The Year
Wildcats outfielder Adam Fahsel was named the conference's Player of the Year after a prolific offensive season. WOU's Arturo Alvarez also won two special awards to highlight the all-conference selections.
