THIS WEEK'S GNAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE
Alyssa Tomasini, Western Oregon
F • 5-8 • Junior • Camas, Wash.

Tomasini scored two goals and had an assist as the Wolves went 2-0-1 in three matches. She assisted on the game-winner at home over Hawaii Pacific on Thursday and tallied single goals in Monday’s 2-2 tie with Academy of Art and the 3-2 overtime win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.

DEFENSE

Bartelson led the Vikings in a pair of hard-fought matches. The week included holding Texas Woman’s without a shot on goal in a 2-0 shutout on Thursday.

AROUND THE GNAC

CENTRAL WASHINGTON
• Central Washington dropped its only game of the week on Monday with a 3-2 loss at home to Hawaii Pacific.

• The Wildcats had 18 shots to Hawaii Pacific’s 12, but the Sharks’ Marissa Froio recorded seven saves in the match.

• Olivia Sloan opened the scoring in the game with a goal in the ninth minute.

• Peyton Vogel scored the other goal for the Wildcats in the 3-2 loss in the 50th minute.

• Goalkeeper Megan Fox recorded two saves in the loss.

• Central Washington is ranked third in the GNAC with 1.40 goals per game and one assist per game.

• Sloan is ranked fifth in the GNAC with six points and ranked fourth with three goals.

• Central Washington is now 2-3-0 on the season. Up next, the Wildcats will open their GNAC schedule on Thursday at Simon Fraser.

CONCORDIA
• Concordia split its two games last week with a 2-1 win at home on Thursday over Cal State Dominguez Hills and a 2-1 loss to Texas Woman’s on Saturday in Bellingham, Washington.

• Kyra Radcliffe scored in each of the Cavs’ games, bringing her season total to four goals. The senior netted the first goal in the Cavs’ win over the Toros then scored the opening goal in the 46th minute in the loss to Texas Woman’s.

• Radcliffe ranks second in the GNAC and 34th in Division II with four goals.

• The Cavs are ranked third in the GNAC with 22 points.

• Concordia is now 2-4-0 on the season. Up next, the Cavs will open their GNAC schedule on Saturday at Montana State Billings.

MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
• Montana State Billings won its only game of the week with a 2-0 victory at Minot State.

• Lexie Bloyder scored her first goal of the season in the 48th minute of the 2-0 win. It was the second goal of her career.

• Haylee Gunter also scored in the 77th minute to extend the lead to two goals.

• The Yellowjackets had 15 shots and 10 shots on goal against Minot State.

• Goalkeeper Erinn Harder recorded five saves and earned her first shutout of the season and third shutout of her career.

• Montana State Billings is ranked third in the GNAC with a 1.10 goals against average. Harder is ranked second in the GNAC with a 0.62 goals against average.

• The Yellowjackets are now 1-2-2 on the season. Up next for MSUB are two conference games. The Yellowjackets will host Western Oregon on Thursday and Concordia on Saturday in Billings.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE
• Northwest Nazarene dropped two games on its California road trip after winning three consecutive games in Week 2.

• The Nighthawks dropped a close 3-2 game against Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday then lost another close 2-1 game at Point Loma on Saturday.

• Rikki Myers scored the first NNU goal against Cal Poly Pomona in the 51st minute. She leads the GNAC with six goals and 12 points.

• Goalkeeper Alexis Montoya recorded five saves, but the Broncos’ 18 shots and eight shots on goal made the difference. Montoya made another seven saves on nine shots on goal in the loss at Point Loma.

• Maddy Parton scored the only goal for NNU in the game at Point Loma.

• Northwest Nazarene ranks first in the GNAC and 35th in Division II with 13 goals. The Nighthawks also rank 37th in Division II with nine assists and 36th in Division II with 35 total points.

• Northwest Nazarene is now 3-3-0 on the season. Up next, NNU will open its GNAC schedule at home, hosting Seattle Pacific on Thursday and Western Oregon on Saturday.

SAINT MARTIN'S
• Saint Martin’s had a busy week at home. The Saints picked up a 2-1 win over Whitman on Monday and a 3-1 win over Warner Pacific on Thursday before falling 5-0 to Hawaii Pacific.

• Shea McKnight scored the game winner against Warner Pacific and was credited with the assist on the golden goal by Kendall Kemp against Whitman.

• Saint Martin’s used three different goalkeepers in the three games. Ali Campigotto recorded 11 saves in the loss to Hawaii Pacific.

• The Saints lead the GNAC with 38 saves. The Saints also rank third with seven assists while also ranking second with 91 shots.

• Saint Martin’s is now 2-3-2 on the season. Up next, the Saints will open their GNAC season at home, hosting Seattle Pacific on Saturday.

SEATTLE PACIFIC
• Seattle Pacific split its two games last week with a 2-1 win at Point Loma on Thursday and a 2-1 overtime loss at Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday.

• Sierra Smith opened up the scoring in the game at Point Loma with a goal in the 13th minute.

• Claire Neder scored the golden goal for the Falcons in the 96th minute to defeat Point Loma. It was her second game-winning goal of the season.

• Kaylie Nelson recorded three saves on four shots on goal by Point Loma. Nelson tallied another nine saves in the Falcons’ loss to Cal Poly Pomona.

• Seattle Pacific is ranked fourth in the GNAC with 25 saves and a 1.15 goals against average.

• Neder is ranked fourth in the GNAC with three goals.

• The Falcons are now 2-4-0 on the season. Up next, SPU will open its GNAC schedule at Northwest Nazarene on Thursday before playing at Saint Martin’s on Saturday.

SIMON FRASER
• Simon Fraser lost three games last week. The Clan dropped the first game, 3-0, at No. 1 UC San Diego on Monday, lost another 3-0 game at Sonoma State on Friday, then lost a close 1-0 game at Stanislaus State on Sunday.

• The Clan put eight shots on goal, but the UC San Diego goalkeeper made eight saves.

• Goalkeeper Nicole Anderson recorded 27 saves in the three games, including 16 in the loss to Sonoma State. The Seawolves had 31 shots and 19 shots on goal in the game.

• Anderson ranks second in the GNAC and 39th in Division II with 31 total saves.

• Simon Fraser is now 0-3-1 on the season. Up next the Clan will open GNAC play with two games at home against Central Washington on Thursday and Western Washington on Saturday.

WESTERN OREGON
• Western Oregon went 2-0-1 last week, drawing a 2-2 tie at Academy of Art on Monday before coming home to top Hawaii Pacific, 1-0, on Thursday and Cal State Dominguez Hills, 3-2, in overtime on Saturday.

• Alyssa Tomasini scored two goals and had an assist in the three matches. She assisted on the game-winner to Isabelle Creighton at home over Hawaii Pacific on Thursday and tallied single goals in Monday’s 2-2 tie with Academy of Art and the 3-2 overtime win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday. Tomasini earned GNAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

• Selene Konyn scored the golden goal for the Wolves in the overtime win against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

• Alex Qualls started all three games, recording three saves and a shutout against Hawaii Pacific. She tallied eight total saves in the three games.

• Western Oregon ranks second in the GNAC and 39th in Division II with 12 goals. The Wolves also rank 22nd in Division II with 11 assists.

• Western Oregon improved to 3-2-1 on the season. Up next, the Wolves will open conference play at Montana State Billings on Thursday before heading to Nampa, Idaho to play Northwest Nazarene on Saturday.

WESTERN WASHINGTON
• Western Washington dropped a tough 1-0 game to Cal State LA in overtime on Monday then bounced back to dominate Texas Woman’s, 2-0, on Thursday.

• Goalkeeper Natalie Dierickx had seven saves against Cal State LA.

• Liv Larson scored both goals for the Vikings in the 2-0 win over Texas Woman’s.

• Jordyn Bartelson played all 90 minutes in the win over Texas Woman’s. Bartelson led the Vikings in a pair of hard-fought matches. The week included holding Texas Woman’s without a shot on goal in the 2-0 shutout. She earned GNAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

• Dierickx ranks first in the GNAC and 14th in Division II with a 0.245 goals against average. She also ranks 20th in Division II with a 0.933 save percentage.

• The Vikings sit in first place in the standings with a 4-1-0 record. Up next, the Vikings will head to Golden, Colorado to face Colorado Mines on Wednesday. They will then open GNAC play at Simon Fraser on Saturday.
